Outstanding, with one big caveat.
We had great weather and a … More fantastic time sailing. Cristiano was incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, fun, and engaging. He integrated seamlessly with our group and was a pleasure to have around. The training boat is a bit worn but mostly functional. Franco was very responsive leading up to the class.
Big Caveat
RYA is different from ASA, and honestly, it's a bit stodgy and digitally challenged, to boot. If you're hell bent on the RYA Day Skipper certificate, I highly recommend doing the (overpriced) RYA Day Skipper theory right before the practical sailing class. There’s a lot of unnecessary trivia (for recreational, fair-weather day skippers, at least) that the RYA expects you to recall. E.g. who knew recognizing a Mine Sweeper Day Shape was such a big deal? None of the vessels we saw during the week were using any kind of day shape. If you don't need the certificate then don't bother with the RYA theory class. You'll still have fun and learn a lot.

I did my RYA Yachtmaster Offshore preparation with Franco and … More it was a pleasure, from the moment I stepped on board. I booked an additional week to prepare for the Yachtmaster as I had a couple of years break from sailing, and it was well worth it. It provided me with extra time to get to know how the boat handles and additional time practicing various manoeuvres, while exploring some picturesque anchorages along the coast. I had a great time, learned a lot, and passed my exam.
I highly recommend doing your Day Skipper training or Yachtmaster preparation week with White Wake Sailing. You'll have a good time.
